Your Ram truck can handle any journey, but it needs help to operate at its top potential. Regular maintenance checks, especially when the seasons change, are key to keeping your truck healthy and functional. Here are some recommended services to perform for fall.
Make sure your battery is strong
Temperatures dip in the fall, and they’ll plummet even more in winter. Now is the time to make sure your battery has a lot of life left in it. If it’s weak, it’s time to install a new one.
Test your lights
Since daylight decreases as fall goes on, you’ll probably be driving more often in darkness. It’s important that your headlights are working properly. While you’re checking your headlights, review all the lights, inside and out, that your Ram truck uses.
Top off truck fluids
Your truck uses several fluids that are continually depleting. Fall is a good time to check that all fluids are at their proper levels. You will want to change the oil and check that the windshield wiper fluid is topped off. Don’t forget to check the coolant, transmission, and brake fluids, too.
Stock up on supplies
As the seasons change, so should the contents of your truck’s emergency kit. Be sure to equip your emergency kit with cold weather-appropriate supplies like gloves, blankets, ice scraper, jumper cables, flashlight, and snow brush or shovel.
Jeep® is an iconic brand, and for the past two decades and counting, it has been honored as America’s Most Patriotic Brand by thousands of consumers. The brand’s esteemed history of service to this country and the brave men and women who fought for freedom began in 1941, and the models highlight that proud history with special badges.
This year’s honor, courtesy of the Brand Keys Most Patriotic Brands survey, showed once again (20 years and counting!) that survey respondents put Jeep® in the top spot. The survey included the responses from 5,800 consumers between the ages of 16 and 65. The survey involved a total of 1,172 brands.
“Consumers know there’s a difference between wrapping yourself in the flag and being a brand people believe has actually earned that right. Jeep® earned it, owns it, and we congratulate them again this year,” said Robert Passikoff, president and founder of Brand Keys.
In addition to its military credibility, the Jeep® is synonymous with unparalleled 4×4 capability, allowing you to fulfill your adventurous pursuits.
For 2023, Jeep® is offering a limited-edition Freedom package to honor members of the U.S. military. The special package is available on two Jeep® models — the Gladiator and Wrangler.
Your credit score is one of the most important factors lenders take into consideration before lending you money. Because of this, improving your credit score is one of the best ways to not only secure a loan but also to get a better interest rate on the loans you do secure.
More than 90% of top lenders use FICO credit scores to assess your financial health, which are determined by five factors: payment history, credit usage, age of credit accounts, credit mix, and new credit inquiries. Improving these factors is the key to improving your overall credit score, but there are two that stand out above all the others.
Pay your bills on time
Over a third of your credit score is determined by your payment history. Missed payments stay on your record for years. In other words, paying your debt on time is the best way to improve your credit score. Automatic payments and consolidating debt are two methods that can help you stay on top of payments.
Have debt responsibly
Nearly a third of your credit score is determined by credit utilization. Lenders want you to have debt — to show you are good at managing it — but not too much. A rule of thumb is to maintain your total outstanding debt balance at 30% or less of your total credit limit. If you’re unable to pay off enough debt to achieve this, raising your credit limit is another option.

Though 2020 might not have been the best year in recent memory for most of us, it has certainly been a banner year for the Jeep® Gladiator. The eclectic 2020 Jeep® Gladiator, which already has a mile-long list of admirers, can add a new super-fan to the growing club roster: the team at Popular Mechanics.
Each year, the Popular Mechanics staff honors the valedictorians in the year’s class of vehicles in its Automotive Excellence Awards. These awards – which are based on industry reviews, snazzy features, and affordability concerns – are given to vehicles that truly stand out amongst their peers.
Ezra Dyer, a Popular Mechanics writer, praised the Gladiator, saying, “It’s a rare combination of whimsical fun and everyday usefulness, a workhorse that doubles as a weekend toy.” Popular Mechanics joins an illustrious group of organizations that have given the 2020 Jeep® Gladiator accolades this year, including several “Truck of the Year” titles from various publications.
