For some time now, Wrangler owners have had the option to upgrade to the popular Willys edition to customize the look and feel of their Jeep. Now, potential owners of the Wrangler-inspired Gladiator can also upgrade their ride to the Willys edition for adventure-ready rugged capability.
The biggest change between the standard and Willys edition of the Jeep Gladiator is the updated appearance. Gladiator Willys owners can choose from a list of eight bold body colors that will be emblemized with distinctive “Willys” decals across the hood. The truck rests atop aggressive 17-inch black aluminum wheels outfitted with 32-inch all-terrain tires.
The Gladiator Willys isn’t just good looking. The Willys edition grants the Jeep pickup truck some additional off-road features, including Rubicon cab rock rails to protect the truck from damage when traversing craggy terrain and a Trac-Lok Limited Slip Rear Differential for extra traction. Inside the Gladiator Willys edition, you’ll find all-weather mats to protect your beautiful Heritage Tan and Black interior from the messes you made on your latest adventure.
The Willys Gladiator has the capability to tow up to 4,000 lbs. when properly equipped thanks to a powerful 3.6-liter Pentastar engine coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. It offers 260 lb.-ft. of torque and up to 285 horsepower.
Though 2020 might not have been the best year in recent memory for most of us, it has certainly been a banner year for the Jeep® Gladiator. The eclectic 2020 Jeep® Gladiator, which already has a mile-long list of admirers, can add a new super-fan to the growing club roster: the team at Popular Mechanics.
Each year, the Popular Mechanics staff honors the valedictorians in the year’s class of vehicles in its Automotive Excellence Awards. These awards – which are based on industry reviews, snazzy features, and affordability concerns – are given to vehicles that truly stand out amongst their peers.
Ezra Dyer, a Popular Mechanics writer, praised the Gladiator, saying, “It’s a rare combination of whimsical fun and everyday usefulness, a workhorse that doubles as a weekend toy.” Popular Mechanics joins an illustrious group of organizations that have given the 2020 Jeep® Gladiator accolades this year, including several “Truck of the Year” titles from various publications.

A new piece of technology is coming to the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. The Know & Go mobile app is set to make leaning about your vehicle easier than ever. Read on to learn more about this exciting new tech.
Employees working at FCA developed and proposed the Know & Go mobile app back in June. The app’s technology uses the camera in your smartphone to scan and analyze images of your vehicle. Additionally, the app features push notifications of undiscovered features, component information, owner’s manual pages, how-to videos, and much more.
The first vehicle to launch with Know & Go compatibility will be the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX.
“With all of the content on the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, the Know & Go mobile app highlights the many new features and capabilities our customers will enjoy in a creative, exciting and engaging way,” said the app’s co-creator, FCA’s Propulsion Systems Program Manager, Mimi Nguyen.
