The 2021 Jeep® Grand Cherokee will be fully redesigned for the first time since the 2011 model year. The new Grand Cherokee is expected to be larger than the outgoing model, offer more engine options, and more luxury features.
Based on the Alfa Romero Giorgio platform, the 2021 Jeep® Grand Cherokee redesign will include a longer wheelbase than its predecessor and will still come with two rows of seating, though a three-row variant may be available at some point. The interior of the 2021 model is expected to be more spacious, with more passenger and cargo volume.
Auto journalists expect a turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.6-liter V6, and possibly HEMI or diesel engine options, as well as some level of hybridization for the more fuel economy-conscious. We can probably expect an off-roading trim under the Trailhawk name, as well as available front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive configurations.
We’ve only seen spy shots of the 2021 Grand Cherokee so far, so there aren’t details available on how the exterior will change. We can guess that inside, the Grand Cherokee will get tech upgrades like digital screens to replace analog gauges, as well as luxury materials and comfort features to create a family-friendly experience throughout the cabin.
