As you plan a spring filled with wilderness treks and road trips, follow these Jeep® cleaning tips to freshen up your ride and get it ready for a season of adventure.
Wash the underbody: Whether you’ve been driving on salty slush, mud, or sand, the underbody of your Jeep® is probably filthy from winter. If you let this grime hang around, it can easily cause rusting and other long-term damage. Thoroughly spray the underbody with a power washer so your muddy spring outings don’t just add an extra layer of dirt.
Protect the exterior: Give the exterior of your Jeep® a good spring cleaning, and don’t forget to scrub the tires while you’re at it. Consider adding a coat of wax afterward to help shield your paint job from the elements.
Clean the floors and cargo area: The floors and cargo area of your Jeep® have probably accumulated plenty of dirt and debris over the winter. First, get rid of any trash or litter that’s piled up. Then, take out the mats and clean them. Make sure you give the floor a good vacuuming before putting the mats back in. To protect your floors, you can also purchase a variety of Mopar® accessories like slush mats and cargo mats.
With these cleaning tips, your Jeep® will be in great shape to go wherever you want to take it. For even more spring readiness, bring it to the service department here at Ken Nelson and we’ll help you get caught up on scheduled maintenance.
